Jugular Veins, Internal and External

The chest cavity of the cat is opened to reveal the major veins that branch from the heart.  Shown in blue are the superior vena cava, the brachiocephalic, subclavian and the internal and external jugular veins.   

Iliac Arteries

If you trace the aorta into the abdomen, it will eventually branch into two large vessels that go into the lower extremities, the external iliac arteries.   Smaller vessels, the internal iliac vessels supply blood to the genitals.
